The painter and graphic artist Luděk Marold (1865–1898) created several posters during his time in Paris and later in Prague. In Paris, he collaborated with the Lemercier printing house. His large posters for the Indian Exhibition in London (1895) were a success, one of which, in a smaller version, is in the museum's collection. After returning to Prague, he also created an advertising poster for the Dresden graphic and paint factory E. T. Gleitsmann. Two designs for the poster, which were originally in the collection of the Pilsen Museum of Applied Arts, are now in the collection of the West Bohemian Gallery in Pilsen.
